Author guidelines

Revista Científica del Amazonas is a multidisciplinary scientific journal operating under a continuous publication model. It disseminates original and unpublished research in areas such as Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Information and Communication Technologies, Health Culture, Environment, and Environmental Culture. The following guidelines and procedures must be followed by authors when submitting manuscripts.

General Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

  1. Originality and Exclusivity

    • The journal accepts only original and unpublished works derived from formally registered research projects affiliated with a recognized institution. Manuscripts must not have been previously published nor be under consideration by another journal.
    • Prior to submission, authors are required to complete the Declaration of Originality Form, certifying that the manuscript is original and has not been submitted for peer review elsewhere. Completion of this form is mandatory for the manuscript to proceed to evaluation.
    • The form requires the following information: article title; author(s) name(s); academic degree(s); institutional affiliation(s); contact email address(es); ORCID iD(s); country of origin; description of each author’s contribution to the manuscript; and a declaration of conflicts of interest. The form also includes a checkbox allowing authors to indicate their willingness to be included in the journal’s reviewer database.

    • The journal uses Turnitin Similarity Check software to assess content similarity. Similarity reports are subject to qualitative analysis to determine whether the manuscript may proceed to peer review.
  2. Article Submission Template

      • Authors must use the official template provided by Revista Científica del Amazonas to prepare their manuscripts. This ensures compliance with the journal’s formatting and structural requirements.

      • Authors must be registered in ORCID. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) a unique and persistent digital identifier for researchers and academics.

    • All manuscripts must comply with APA Style (6th edition) for citations and references. This guarantees consistency and professionalism in academic presentation.
  3. Manuscript Submission Process

    • Authors must submit their manuscript, together with confirmation that the Declaration of Originality Form has been completed, to the following email address: revistadelamazonas@gmail.com. The submission of an article does not guarantee its publication.
    • An author may not publish more than one article per volume of Revista Científica del Amazonas (i.e., within the same calendar year). This policy ensures equity in publication, promotes diversity of research contributions, and prevents concentration of articles by a single author within the same period. Authors may submit a new manuscript only in the subsequent volume.
  4. Fees and Charges

Revista Científica del Amazonas does not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) or submission fees. All articles are published free of charge.
