Inventory of bird diversity at Finca El Jordán, La Montañita-Caquetá, Colombia

Birds in the Colombian Amazon are important for their role in ecosystems. They can also become in an active resource for community tourism, thus ensuring the sustainability of ecosystemic services. To build the base line, a rapid inventory of the diversity of birds present in the municipality of La Montañita (Finca El Jordán) was carried out during September 2023, on four trails with different types of vegetation cover, where linear routes were made, trying to cover the largest possible area. Through visual, photographic and auditory records, 533 bird individuals were recorded, distributed in 19 orders, 38 families and 96 species; the wealth of the taxa was represented by the order Passeriformes (49 sp), the family Tyrannidae (16 sp) and the abundance by Ara severus (46 individuals). The specific wealth corresponds to 4.9% for Colombia and 9.4% for Caquetá. Finally, the preparation of the quick guide of the birds present. According to this, the implementation of birdwatching and community tourism is proposed as a contribution to the local economy from the responsible use of the different activities with the natural resources and attractions of the area.

Affectivity, psychosocial well-being, and gender violence: a preventive approach in the department of Cundinamarca

The main objective of this research was to understand the impact of affectivity on the psychosocial well-being of couple relationships and the prevention of gender-based violence, promoting mental health. Thus, through a significant experience, phenomenology is used to understand the essence of subjectivity. A case study, a semi-structured interview, and the application of the Trait Metaknowledge scale on emotional states (TMMS-24) are integrated from a mixed research approach. This leaves open the proposal for a program for the implementation of soft skills in affectivity, which generate emotional awareness in interpersonal relationships seen as a central component of the human experience. This study establishes skills such as assertive communication and emotional intelligence as effective and essential tools in couple relationships to mitigate gender-based violence, which leaves its mark on both the affected individual and society. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the construction of lasting, humane, and stable bonds for mental health, based on the recognition and control of emotions, as well as care and respect for others.

Sustainable local development from the perspective of actors in the municipality of Cadereyta de Montes, Mexico

Sustainable local development is a community integration strategy; therefore, it is essential to develop it through community participation processes. This research sought to examine the approach to sustainable local development from the perspective of local stakeholders, generating a baseline for analysis. This process used participatory methodologies with 275 participants, resulting in a stakeholder map and a working framework. This was achieved through dialogues and meetings facilitated by the Autonomous University of Querétaro. It is crucial to preserve the biocultural, social, and economic aspects that stakeholders perceive in Cadereyta de Montes as potential for sustainability. It is important to combine institutional frameworks, public policies, and citizen participation to protect the environment and build spaces for sustainable local development. This involved supporting business management and consolidating new sectors. In conclusion, collaborative and intersectoral work is fundamental to creating sustainability processes. Local development originates through local initiatives. This research presents feedback from participants and reveals how local development works in accordance with territorial needs to achieve sustainability.
